The love vine

Cassytha filiformis

Basically this plant grows into the pores of other plants and drinks its blood, sucking water and nutrients from it.

I guess it is called the love vine because islanders would weave the strands together to make a ceremonial headdress.

It is also a very useful plant, soothing jellyfish stings, easing labour pain, and curing cancers. It was also used in sorcerers potions and apparently it makes a lovely shampoo.
